About the event

"Rooted in Wellness: An Event for Communities of Color"  is focused on promoting health and wellness through the power of film and art. The event will feature early morning yoga and meditation sessions,  film screenings, panel discussions, and local vendors, highlighting the importance of holistic health and sustainable food systems in communities of color. We believe this event is an excellent opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate the intersection of art and wellness. As filmmakers and artists, we have a unique ability to inspire and uplift our communities through our work, and this event is a testament to that. In addition, we hope "Rooted in Wellness" will be a reminder our communities of color,  of the power art and filmmaking has, as a tool for social change. As we continue to face challenges and adversity, we must remember the transformative power of art and the role it plays in…

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER

PTAFF was created from a simple but powerful belief that stories can change lives.

What began as a vision has grown into a platform for artists, filmmakers, and communities to come together, be seen, and be heard. This work is deeply personal, and we are committed to building a space where creativity and impact live side by side.

As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to elevate voices, spark dialogue, and create meaningful cultural experiences that inspire change.

Michelle “Andrea Meshel” Smith
Founder & Executive Director
